S. J. Ewing & Dancers
Analog II melds the linear, digital experience of technology with the three dimensional human experience of movement and touch in an interactive and immersive environment. The performance exists inside animated projections that respond, interact and are manipulated by the dancer’s movements via motion capture technology.
This performance is a further development of Analog, which premiered at Dance Place in 2016. With technological and choreographic developments, the work further investigates the stabilities and instabilities we have in our internal and external lives by constructing its own world out of human movement and computer code.
